About Bill

Bill Romanelli is a Sacramento-based public affairs and strategic communications expert with more than 30 years of specialized experience in helping clients execute complex issue campaigns.

His expertise spans strategy development, ally development, grassroots outreach, coalition building, crisis communications, public participation, litigation support, opinion research, digital communications, and media relations – including executive media training and coaching, and serving as an on-the record media spokesperson.

His broad industry experience includes extensive work across energy, healthcare, land use, construction, manufacturing, and the not-for-profit world. He has successfully led local, regional, statewide, national and international programs on myriad issues and projects, ranging from legal reform and environmental cleanup to public safety, corporate reputation, ballot measures, water and air quality, and public funding.

An award-winning writer, Bill also specializes in helping clients identify and refine the strongest messages with respect to their key stakeholders. He has written four books, published hundreds of op-eds and bylined articles, and continues to publish articles regularly on people, lifestyle, travel and local business issues.

He is also a former Planning Commissioner for the City of Folsom, serves on the board of the Folsom Chamber of Commerce, and volunteers for a variety of local nonprofit organizations.

Bill graduated from California State University Sacramento with a degree in Communications Studies, emphasizing in Public Relations.
